Anatomy of an IICRC S500 Compliant Water Damage Inspection (1Hour)

New laws that went into effect last year require independent dry-out contractors to comply with industry standards. The only industry standard for water damage restoration is ANSI-Approved IICRC S500.

IICRC requires an initial (intrusive) S500 compliant inspection before drying. If there is mold, do not dry. Remediate first. But this never happens because mold grows fast and there is always mold! It is important to understand what an IICRC compliant inspection actually is, as this information can work for or against the carrier.
