Registration:
Registration fee for unlimited anglers is $500 per boat(4 total). You may register at the SFCA website. This fee is the same for private boats or chartered boats.
Lunch only fee is $50 per person.
Sponsorships:
All sponsors must be registered by 6/08/21 before 5 PM in order to be placed on our fishing T shirts that will be handed out the morning of event. If you want to be on the T shirt please choose your sponsorship before this time.
Times:
7:30 AM Bimini Start (all boats start together) from the buoy outside Hillsboro Inlet. You may start later at your discretion. All boats should monitor VHF channel 74.
1:30 PM (sharp!!) weigh-in at the Lighthouse Point Yacht and Racquet Club.
Location:
Bimini start – Whistling buoy outside the Hillsboro Inlet (Big Red and White thing floating offshore and slightly south of the inlet).
Weigh In/Award Ceremony – Lighthouse Point Yacht and Racquet Club.
Type of Tournament:
This is a boat/team tournament. All fish must be entered for official weigh-in in the presence of a boat/team representative.
Angling Rules:
There are no IGFA or any other angling rules applied. Catch your fish using any means possible other than electric reels. Spearfishing is also prohibited. Any bait, including live bait, is permitted.
All participants must have a valid Florida Saltwater fishing license. Please visit https://myfwc.com/license/recreational/saltwater-fishing/ for more information.
Eligible Species:
Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Tuna, Kingfish, and Wahoo. All fish must be presented at weigh-in in fresh, edible condition and caught during tournament hours. All fish must meet the minimum required legal length. Frozen, packaged, or mutilated fish will not be weighed.
Scoring:
Nine fish per boat will be entered at the final weigh-in with up to 3 fish from each eligible species. The tournament winner will be the boat that has the highest combined weight of all nine fish.
Prizes:
There will be a total of four prizes:
1. 1st Place overall weight
2. 1st Place largest Catch- Male
3. 1st Place largest Catch- Female
4. Last place
Boundaries:
This is an open ocean tournament within US Territorial and International Waters. Fishing in Bahamian Waters is prohibited. Tournament officials reserve the right to check the boat’s chart plotter breadcrumb trails.
Weather:
In the event of unsafe weather or sea conditions, tournament officials may choose to postpone the tournament. Captains are ultimately responsible for their crew and should make the decisions regarding sea and weather conditions.
